Scooterbug is looking for a Regional Service Lead Technician for their Florida Region.

Job Summary: 

Position will execute, manage and oversee the effective and efficient delivery of service on mobility equipment located at various customer sites. This person will be called upon to travel by air and road both national and international to assist with service delivery. Planning, safety audits, quality control, training, documenting, personnel management, training are key elements of the position. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform maintenance services for the ScooterBug equipment fleet, both at customer site and at the warehouse. This includes strollers, wheelchairs and ECV's, Material Handling Carts and other mobility equipment.
  • Be proficient in use of all types of tools, both mechanical and manual that are used in the performance of maintenance activities.
  • Perform installation of new equipment and carry out routine service activities either at the client site or at any other assigned locations.
  • Comply with the ScooterBug safety and service standards/guidelines.
  • Requires travel to client sites within the region as well as out of the region to carry out service activities. Should be able to work outdoors.
  • Responsible for ordering adequate quantities of parts as well as packing the tools needed for maintenance trips.
  • Assisting the Regional Service Manager in effective planning, budgeting and execution of service trips.
  • Capable of suggesting effective and efficient work routines, recommending better tools to work with and improving service delivery standards. This includes analyzing problems and being a solutions provider.
  • Plan, manage and carry out service trips and projects that include travel coordination, planning service trips, making travel reservations, completing trip maintenance itineraries, supervising temporary labor, customer site set up and management, customer service needs coordination, direct and manage ScooterBug service technicians in the performing of proper maintenance services.
  • Communicating issues and results routinely to Supervisor.
  • Good communication skills and attitude with customers.
  • Proficiency in using office management tools to complete various administrative tasks that include accurate completion of all service reports, charts, spreadsheets and other paperwork as it relates to parts and equipment.
  • Build consistencies in the delivery and management of products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. 

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements: 

  • Able to work with very limited supervision.
  • Organized individual with sound planning and delivery skills.
  • Lead by example and be able to work in a changing environment.
  • Experience dealing with multiple tasks at the same time, problem resolution and man power planning.
  • Experience managing teams, maintaining discipline within teams, motivating and energizing teams to reach desired results.
  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and other office management software.
  • Should enjoy working outdoors and be physically fit.
  • Should have a flexible schedule that includes working weekends.
  • Should be willing to travel by air and road national and international and be able to work in a fast-paced physical environment.
